Daughters of the Confederacy Marker

At the request of the Jefferson City Racial Equity Group, the NAACP and a number of concerned citizens, the Jefferson City Council voted to remove the marker on Moreau Drive that was erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1933 as part of their propaganda campaign to favor the defeated Confederacy and promote white supremacy.
